Mounting instructions Marmoleum (Artoleum, Marmoleum colorful greys etc.)

Prerequisites

The subfloor must be even and dry, with no cracks and sufficient strength. When laying the above

linoleum products, the relative humidity, RF, in ordinary building concrete must not exceed 85%.

For floor constructions with a high cement content (vbt <0.38) or vacuum treated concrete, one must be

pay particular attention to the moisture content and the suction capacity of the surface layer. The temperature of the substrate, glue and flooring

Substrates of fibreboard are assumed to have a moisture content of 8% (40% RH at + 20ºC), so there is no

Water-based adhesives suitable for linoleum. Like Cascolin from Casco. Suitable for Marmoleum decibel is suitable

vinyl adhesive as Casco pro. Be aware that the vinyl glue and the decibel backing combine to dry

more slowly.

Laying instructions for runway goods

Before cutting and sticking it is a good idea to neutralize tension in the material by "counter roll"

(with jute side out). When laying several lanes next to each other, the lanes must not be turned end. Scroll

surface. The floor must be thoroughly drilled after bonding. When laying longer tracks, the ends must be cut

after bonding. For approx. every 15 meters, a production of a folding fold occurs. This is glued on

following procedure.

1. Marking of folding fold on the floor

2. Glue to approx. 20 cm after hand fold (1st bonding)

3. Mount the course and roll it across and then longitudinally (order is important!)

4. The 2nd half is glued to and mounted

5. Roll back and forth again

6. After approx. 15 min. rolled across and along the last time

To avoid blistering, the folding pad must be loaded while the adhesive cures. Preferably, begin bonding with

the part of the track where the folding fold is.

ugetætning

We recommend sealing the joints with Marmoweld and Artoweld welding wire. At the grout cutting there must be

be an opening of approx. 1 mm. Before sealing, the joint is milled down to 3/4 of the web thickness. Use a cutter

or an electric groove cutter.

Laying instructions for corners and corners

1. Measure the center lines of the room and mark them with a chalk line.

2. Measure from the center and calculate how many pattern reports (R) and lengths of length to use for long

distance from the wall with a pencil line. The distance from the wall should be at least 15 cm.

3. Align the borders with the tape to get the correct length. Check the dimensions before gluing away by

place the collapsed borders along the markings on the subfloor. Start in a corner. It may be necessary

to shift the borders slightly to make the pattern fit in the corners, if not used

Pre-made corner windows. Pull a pencil line on both sides of the borders to mark the flat as

must be glued.

4. Apply the glue with a glue bead within the lines, marking away the location. Put on the borders

glue and rub them firmly.

5. First mount away at a long side and a short side in the room. Then mount the remaining pages. Make

that the xy targets are not changed during installation.

6. When the glue is hardened, remove the protective tape from the bead. Pull the tape parallel to the floor surface

must be adjusted. Young to get glue on the surface of the edges. Wet glue stains are removed with a damp cloth, dry the glue

7. The rest of the floor is now laid. Lay out a linoleum lane so that one long side and the two short sides overlap

away by 1.5–2 cm. Turn the path back and grease the undercoat. Lay the web down and rub it firmly.

Use a scratch pad and a knife to align linoleum and away. Follow the same procedure with the subsequent ones

Fields. The last lane is laid with overlap all the way around and glued. The joint is pressed down

a riding shoe and a knife.

8. Place a strip of linoleum slightly wider than the distance from wall to wall, between the wall and the wall.

When fitting, the contour of the wall is scratched with a rod fitting and the linoleum is cut clean. Glue the strip and align

towards the away with a scratching cow and a knife.

9. Before using the floor, treat it with Monel to smooth out the gloss between the pattern elements.

Laying instructions for tiles

1. Mark the center lines of the room with a chalk line. The lines must be perpendicular to each other.

2. Lay out a number of tiles to see how large the tiles closest to the wall should be.

3. Regardless of the pattern, the edge tiles should be equal in size and larger than half a tile. To achieve this, it can

need to create new lines which are offset in parallel with the center lines. Spread glue evenly over it

first quarter of the room, but not where the edge tiles should be laid.

4. Place the tiles in the wet glue and press each tile firmly. Then rub the entire surface. Work from the lines

facing the wall until the last tile is laid. Scrape off any glue outside the tiles with a spatula. Apply glue

the next quarter, and continue the same way until all the tiles are laid.

5. The first edge tile is now adjusted by carefully placing it on top of the adjacent tile.

6. An auxiliary tile is laid out as a measurement against the wall. The cutting line is marked with a knife and the tile is cut

straight after the line using a ruler.

7. In this way, all the edge tiles are adjusted in order. Glue is applied to the edge area and the edge tiles

pressed and rubbed in the same way as the whole tiles. When this description is followed, the tiles arrive

to lie parallel to the walls of the room. The tiles can of course also be laid diagonally or at other angles.

Here too, the lines must be perpendicular to each other.

Maintenance

See separate cleaning and maintenance instructions.

Note! New linoleum may occasionally have a slight yellowing on the surface. This toning disappears shortly

in daylight, and the material then gets its original color.

If problems arise

When you buy Marmoleum dual tiles, it is important that you realize that it is a tile product that

Like other products, different tolerances are subject. It is especially important to pay attention

that the thickness tolerance of our linoleum tiles is 2.5 mm +/- 0.15 mm. This can in some cases give

noticeable transitions between the tiles.

Contact Forbo if the flooring material is damaged or faulty. Do not put products with visible defects! In this

material costs are covered. When returning goods, the package or lot and roll number must be

always abandoned.

transport damage

Visible transport damage must be noted on the shipping note when receiving the goods. Damage that is not visible

upon receipt, be notified as soon as possible to Forbo and the carrier, however, no later than 7 days.

The above instructions and recommendations are based on own test runs. However, we assume no responsibility

for work results that are affected by local circumstances, as these are beyond our control.

Prerequisites

The subfloor must be flat, permanently dry, without cracks and sufficiently pressure-resistant. The humidity in the concrete must

Do not exceed 85% RH. Pay particular attention to moisture conditions at floor to ground. When laying, the temperature must be

on substrates, glue and flooring be + 18oC, and the relative humidity in the room max 60%.

Substrate of sheet material is assumed to have a moisture percentage of 8% (40% RH at + 20 ° C), so that

No movement occurs that can later cause damage.

Changes in the material can, for example, arise due to abnormal moisture influences from the substrate, movements in the substrate,

heat from eg heating pipes, which gives a floor temperature of above + 30oC etc.

Leading glue, eg Bostic 55, Casco 3490 or similar.

Covering

Glue a copper ribbon in the middle of each web width with conductive adhesive. The copper band should be 10-15 mm wide

and about 0.1 mm thick. Alternatively, self-adhesive copper ribbons can be used. All copper bands are connected to

each other at both ends with transverse copper strip about 50 cm from the wall, and connected to earth via the electricity grid at

every 50 m² or according to the customer's instructions. Check the performance of the copper ribbons before laying the linoleum.

The paths should not be turned end. When laying in the same room, the rollers must be taken in number order. To

floor drainage, that the glue is applied correctly. Drying the adhesive too long, there is also risk

for the adhesive joints to look through the surface of the coating. When laying longer tracks, the ends must be

cut after gluing.

At about every 15 meters, a so-called hanging fold occurs at the production. This is glued down by double bonding.

Apply glue to the back of the folding pad with an outward trowel, then glue as normal

Rub the coating firmly after bonding. To avoid bladder formation, the folding pad is loaded while the adhesive cures.

The floor must be measured after 4 weeks according to the prescribed measuring method and then once a year.

Joint sealing

We recommend that you seal the joints with Marmoweld welding wire. Leave an opening of approx. 1 mm when joining the joint.

Before sealing, the joint is milled down to 3/4 of the web thickness. Use joint cutter or electric

mortar rake.

Maintenance

Use dry methods (dry alternative moisture mopping) combined with stain removal. If needed, use damp

wiping - use a neutral detergent in the water. Conventional polish, standard types of metallized

Acrylic polymer or other film-forming products must not be used as they may damage the antistatic of the floor

properties. Forbo Monel and Spray will not provide thicker maintenance films with the above maintenance

By complaint

Do not mount the coating with visible defects. In such cases we only replace the material and any transport costs.
