The Khayma collection from Louis de Poortere is available in three different designs: Farrago, Fairfield and Agadir.
- Farrago: Is a confused mix and refers to the mix of designs used in this exceptional and well-balanced patchwork. The rugs have different strain patterns that are colored in a variety of colors.
- Fairfield: A classic medal design, a well-known design by Louis de Poortere. The carpets are a little washed out and look like they have not been used for many years, so they have to be found and appear antique.
- Agadir: Tribal designs from the Atlas region, colored in a stunning palette of mixed colors with a discreet pattern grid mounted on the top.
Khayma stands for the traditional tents used by the nomadic tribes in the desert. By extension, it also stands for family, home and tribe as a whole. The floor will consist of carpets because it is comfortable, but also to decorate the tents.
Over a century of skill and craftsmanship laid in every woven rug produced in Belgium. Woven on a Jacquard Wilton weave in a combination of cotton chenille and pure wool, each rug has multiple layers of texture and intricate stitching details to give a true 'vintage' look.
