History and mission:
The story of Gulvlageret.dk begins with a couple of zealots who, in the wake of the crisis in 2009, founded a small webshop as a leisure project alongside their primary occupation, which at the time was to run or a flooring company specializing in tender projects and commercial tasks as well as a smaller carpentry company specializing in the renovation of roof and window projects as well as building a handful of architect-designed single-family houses. Back then, the common foundation was a strong professionalism, entrepreneurial spirit, an urge to break new ground in a stuck and dusty industry. The foundation was laid with close supplier contact, an equal collaboration, a natural curiosity for both new products and new ways of doing things. This method has proven to be a particularly sustainable basis, which to this day characterizes everyday life at gulvlageret.dk in relation to both customers and colleagues.

Timeline:
2009
Gulvlageret.dk is founded, and we have a small warehouse and office in Ishøj.
2012
We are moving from Ishøj to Herlev to get more space in the warehouse and get closer to Copenhagen.
2014
A showroom is opened in Herlev, and the warehouse is expanded.
2016
We receive our first Gazelle award from Børsen.
Gazelle is a designation used for companies that are growing rapidly. The company must meet a number of requirements to become a gazelle. The term gazelle derives from the gazelle award, which Dagbladet Børsen awards each year to fast-growing Danish companies.
2017
We receive the 2nd Gazelle award.
2018
Showroom in Odense opens, and we receive the 3rd Gazelle award.
We are moving warehouse, administration and showroom to Skovlunde, not far from our address in Herlev.
2019
Showroom in Aarhus opens, and we receive the 4th Gazelle award.
2020
Showroom in Aalborg opens, and we receive the 5th Gazelle award.
The warehouse in Skovlunde is being expanded.
2021
Gulvlageret.dk receives the 6th Gazelle award
The warehouse in Skovlunde is being expanded again.
2022
Showroom in Esbjerg & Næstved opens.
The warehouse in Skovlunde is being expanded once again. We now stock more than 1500 of our most popular items which results in faster delivery of the most popular products.
