Description:
Heat-Pak® is a free floating subfloor, specially designed for installation on top of all types of underfloor heating systems. This special subfloor system provides a very stable subfloor on which all types of flooring can be laid. Heat-Pak® provides a perfectly even subfloor which will protect your flooring from glare from the subfloor. This subfloor is therefore particularly suitable for fully glued carpets, linoleum, vinyl and cork. Heat-Pak® is the solution to, in a simple way, creating a very stable subfloor and easier to use than a traditional putty. By using Heat-Pak®, the floor will quickly be dry, clean, level and ready for installation of the floor covering. The very low thermal resistance will conduct heat from the underfloor heating system without problems. This has a positive effect on the efficiency of the heat and will protect the floor from so-called hot spots. Heat-Pak® is made of a high quality MDF board and consists of a bottom plate (3 mm) and a top plate (4 mm). Both boards are provided with a special, interactive glue that binds them together thoroughly after installation, after which you have a very stable subfloor, a subfloor that is almost perfectly level and free of visible joints. Heat-Pak® is a subfloor system that provides a very even and stable base on which all types of floor coverings can be installed directly.

Installation instructions for Heat-Pak underlays
Heat-Pak® must always acclimatize wrapped for 48 hours in the room where they are to be placed at a temperature of min. 18 degrees C. Before Heat-Pak® is laid, the floor must be permanently dry, clean and free of dust. A vapor barrier of 150 μ must always be laid under the Heat-Pak®, no matter how the floor looks - and you must ensure that the joints in this are tight by taping with aluminum tape and letting the foil overlap min. 20 cm. (If there is underfloor heating, we recommend that a vapor barrier of at least 200 μ is laid). If you want to use additional substrates, e.g. foam under Heat-Pak®, you must ensure that it has a low degree of heat resistance. The greater the thermal resistance, the slower the heat will flow through. Small unevenness such as edges and cracks in concrete and wooden floors can be easily smoothed out with Heat-Pak®. By following the instructions, a perfectly floating subfloor can be made. If there are still doubts or questions, please contact the supplier of Heat-Pak®. Heat-Pak® - two-part subfloor system - is composed of a base plate and a top plate, both of which have an interactive adhesive on them. The base plate must be installed with the adhesive side up. The top plate must be placed with the glue down towards the bottom plate. The pieces must be laid against each other without joints. By knocking the boards together with a rubber hammer, the glue on the two layers of boards will glue together and thereby the boards become totally stable. Start by placing the Heat-Pak® in the narrowest side of the room. When Heat-Pak® is laid, there must always be 8 - 10 mm of air for walls and other fixed installations in the room. The heating system must be switched off before you install Heat-Pak® If the floor covering is to be glued to Heat-Pak®, the heating system must not be switched on again until the glue is completely dry. The temperature should then be increased gradually.
