Clean your lambskin in natural ways!
Lambskin is a fantastic natural product and is actually incredibly easy to maintain. In all cases, we recommend that you clean your lambskins in natural ways. They have the best of it.
If you want your lambskin to last as long as possible, here are 5 good tips on how to maintain it:
- Shake your lambskin
- Vacuum it carefully
- Send it to the cleaners
- Give it a damp cloth if you spill something on it
- Hang the lambskin out in freezing weather or place it directly in the snow

Wash it by hand with the foam from a wool detergent. Avoid getting the back of the skin wet. We do NOT recommend that you put your leather in the washing machine! It is far better to wash your leather by hand - it can easily last. And you should NOT put it in the dryer.
How to clean your lambskin with snow:
If you lay your lambskin out in the snow, a complete natural cleaning takes place.
Lay it flat with the fur facing the snow so that it can absorb the dust and kill any dust mites. Leave it outside overnight so that the frost can really work through it.
Give it a good run with a broom or jump on it so that it is pressed firmly into the snow. When the lambskin has been lying for a long time, you pick it up and shake it free of snow, so that it regains its natural fullness.
Pay attention to the treatment of colored skins:
Do not expose dyed leathers to strong light or direct sunlight to avoid fading and discoloration. Furthermore, contamination can occur if the skin comes into contact with water or moisture.
