The development of underfloor heating in recent years is moving away from heating hoses in concrete and towards light underfloor heating plates, which distribute the heat more quickly. It helps to reduce energy consumption and gives consumers a lower heating bill .

New underfloor heating plates from Nordic Fos can regulate the underfloor heating temperature in just 30 minutes. It saves energy and at the same time they are faster and cheaper to install.

Developed by Nordic universities The new floor heating plates from Nordic Fos have been developed by the technical universities here in the Nordics. The team was tasked with developing the perfect underfloor heating system, both in terms of energy consumption and installation. That's why the new series of underfloor heating plates has been developed to be able to regulate the temperature quickly - this provides good opportunities for lowering the temperature at night and for regular regulation, which means a much lower heating bill. The principle behind the development work was that the heating hoses should be closer to the final floor, lie with a smaller center distance and have a smaller dimension.

Reaction time of just 30 minutes Underfloor heating systems, which are based on heating hoses embedded in concrete, often have a reaction time of 24 hours. The new Nordic Fos systems cut the reaction time down to just 30 minutes. Therefore, a room thermostat can easily regulate heat consumption continuously – e.g. when the sun provides natural heating during the day. Or when there are many people in the room. The thermostat can regulate the heat consumption on an ongoing basis, saving the consumer on the heating bill and benefiting from a much better indoor climate.

Can be used for all floor types Nordic Fos floor heating plates are produced in XPS 350, which has a very high compressive strength (35 t/m²). Therefore, you can lay all types of flooring directly on top of the floor heating plates: tiles, clinker, natural stone, parquet and laminate floors. the herringbone parquet glued to a floorboard, wall-to-wall carpeting or an entire smooth vinyl covering - yes, even thin concrete can be cast as a raw and fashionable floor.

Particularly thin version for renovations When renovating older homes, height is often a significant problem. Here, the Nordic Fos floor heating plates are available in a special type that is only a few mm thicker than the heating hose - i.e. 16 mm in height for 12 mm heating hoses and only 19 mm. in height for 16 mm heating hoses.

Suitable for low energy Unique to Nordic Fos is the underfloor heating plates' ability to utilize the heat from low energy systems, such as geothermal systems and heat pump systems, where the supply temperature can be kept down to 30-32 degrees compared to 50-60 degrees in traditional radiator systems.
