HISTORY:
FORESTS AND RAW MATERIALS
Sustainable forestry with diversity is important to us. The raw material for our floors comes from Swedish forests. We buy wood that comes from thinning or felling, felling methods that cause as little interference in nature as possible. We believe that the forest must be used, but a little at a time and in many different ways.
It is difficult to dry the core without breaking it. The tree must not lie in the forest or in large quantities, but must be sown near the felling site and sent directly to us for further treatment in Gothenburg. In order to get the right raw material, we rely on a forestry that is small, flexible and can handle short handling time.
OUR CLOUD FLOOR
Floor floors are a solid wooden floor with the end tree facing upwards, providing a robust and durable floor for both home and public environments. Our floor is made entirely of core wood, from the center of the trunk. It gives a beautiful and harmonious pattern of unbroken rings.
Our standard product Centerpiece ™ Basic is a rectangular floor made of spruce of carefully selected quality. As a special range, Centerpiece ™ Hex is available in hexagonal birch wood blocks. Centerpiece ™ Hex, the birch brick floor, is used both as a floor, for furniture and for other interior design ideas.
The brick floors are supplied as loose bricks, which must be glued to a firm, level and even surface. The bricks are sanded before surface treatment. Subsequently, spaces between the blocks are spared with e.g. Casco Synteko woodfiller. When we pack, the bricks are sorted, so each pack contains a lot of different patterns, cams and shades. Large cracks and ugly wood defects are sorted out. In rare cases, minor cracks may occur after packing due to stress in the wood.
HOW WOULD YOU HAVE YOUR FLOOR?
Much of the nature of the finished floor is determined by putty and surface treatment. Therefore, it is only the imagination that limits this product. Share your project with us on Facebook or send us some pictures. We gladly pass your beautiful work to others who have the courage to make an exciting floor.
