Product description & use:
DanAtac Vinyl 246, is a fast specific water-based adhesive, with a strong wet tack, completely free of organic solvents. The glue has a short opening time and can be used for both wet and tack gluing. Furthermore, the glue has an excellent reactivation ability. Used for gluing homogenous vinyl, vinyls with foam or tissue backing, rubber or e.g. linoleum with oleofin foam backing on absorbent and non-absorbent substrates. Is also suitable for setting up wall vinyls.

Instructions for use :
Preparation: Stir the glue before use. Before use, glue and coating are tempered to between 18 °C and 25 °C, corresponding to the floor temperature. The moisture percentage in the subfloor must be max. be of the size specified for the coating in question (85 - 90% RH, depending on material). Moisture measurement must be carried out according to GSO Gulvfakta's rules. If necessary, moisture insulation must be provided. Gluing can be done on all smooth, flat and continuously dry surfaces such as concrete, wood fiber boards and cement putty. Always follow the coating supplier's instructions. With underfloor heating, special precautions must be taken, see the coating supplier's instructions. Discoloration of the vinyl material may occur with light vinyl coatings. We recommend doing a test in these cases. Substrates of floor putty are primed with Primer 600 diluted with water, in a ratio of 1:5. Substrates of anhydrite are primed twice with Primer 600 diluted with water. First time 1:5, second time 1:3. The primer must be completely dry before applying glue.
Application temperature: 18 °C to 25 °C. The relative humidity in the room must not exceed 65%. The humidity may possibly reduced by air heating and/or ventilation.
Glue amount & method: 4-5 m2/litre (for rubber, 3½-4 m2/litre is recommended).
Gluing: The glue is applied to the substrate with a notched trowel. The coating is mounted in the wet glue and carefully rubbed into place, then the coating is lifted so that the glue is aired for 5-10 minutes, after which the coating is carefully rubbed into place. Drumming the coating after application is always recommended.
Finishing: When gluing in wet rooms, all joints must be sealed.
Reactivation: The hardened glue can be reactivated by high heat from a heat gun for 30-60 seconds. in the area in question, after which it is possible to smooth out any dents or irregularities. After cooling, the glue has regained its tack and strength. The glue can be reactivated over a longer period of time.
Cleaning: Glue on the skin is removed with soap and water. Tools are cleaned with warm water while the glue is still wet. Dried glue dissolves with alcohol.
