Wooden floors must have room to expand
Wooden floors, which consist of a living material, must have room to expand when the humidity changes. Therefore always leave a gap of 1.5 mm per width meter or at least 8-10 mm between floor and wall or floor and door threshold, pipes, stairs, fireplace and stone floor. You can easily hide the movement joint afterwards with a plinth or strip.

Tarkett's strips are lacquered and suitable for floors with Proteco lacquer (lacquer with a traditional look) or with Proteco Natura matt lacquer (looks like oiled, but with the good properties of lacquer).
