Work Description
1:
Both new and old wooden terraces must be cleaned with Trip Trap Furniture and Terrace Cleaner before oiling.
2: The wood must then dry for at least 24 hours, so that the humidity does not exceed 15%. Possibly. wood grain is removed with fine sandpaper grain 120.
3: Treatment may only be carried out in dry weather. Avoid direct sunlight and strong heat.
4: Stir the oil thoroughly before and during use.
5: Apply the oil with a brush in an even thin layer. Start with the end surfaces of the wood. It may take a few minutes before the wood starts to look oiled, as the water must first evaporate.
6: Any excess oil is removed with clean cotton cloths after 5 min. Pay particular attention to removing excess oil in joints and crevices.
7: Items 5 and 6 may carried out again if the surface does not seem saturated with oil.
8: Depending on the weather and temperature, it will take 24 to 48 hours for the oil to harden. During this period the wood must not be exposed to water.
9: Note: Colored terrace oil can have slight contamination in the first few days, depending on wind and weather.
It is recommended to repeat the oil treatment approx. 1-2 times a year or as needed. Before application, clean the wood with Trip Trap Furniture and Terrace Cleaner and follow the points under basic treatment.
