Product information: Solid hardwood boards are a "natural product" made from slow-growing wood. Wood is a living material that has been dried down to 6-10% humidity, which corresponds to normal indoor humidity of 50-60%. Wood is a living material that works in step with the humidity in the room. A humidity of 80-90% will mean that the hardwood board can work up to 10 mm in the width direction. If the top/bottom side of the table top is subjected to uneven impact, it will "seize" (one side will expand more than the other side). Therefore remember oil/varnish on both sides. When wood is dried, small air pockets appear. These are natural and may possibly repaired with wood pulp. Small scratches are a natural part of hardwood panels and do not form the basis for a complaint.
Maintenance: After installation, the plate must be thoroughly oiled before it is put into use. Repeat oiling until all pores are closed. Pay particular attention to end wood and repeat often until no more oil is absorbed. Be careful with cutouts (e.g. for washing) that they are also thoroughly sealed. NOTE: Be aware that linseed oil is self-igniting and follow the supplier's instructions.
Quality: The table top consists of sticks glued together. The table tops are often made from wood dimensions that are included as part of the overall utilization of the raw wood used for our other products, and a coordinated production enables us to offer these products at the lowest prices on the market. The plates are delivered untreated and it is therefore always recommended to sand and surface treat the plate before use. Before the final treatment is carried out, small cam holes and the like can advantageously be filled with wood filler, plastic wood or the like.
